1.Download Aadhaar via the UIDAI Portal

To download Aadhaar through the official UIDAI website, follow these steps:

  • Visit the official UIDAI website.

    uidai.gov.in/en

  • You need to click on My Aadhaar written in the menu and then click on the “Download Aadhaar” option.

  • After clicking, a form will open. Depending on the option you choose to log in to the system, you must enter your Aadhaar number, Enrolment ID number or Virtual ID number.

    • Enter your Aadhaar number and captcha code.
    • After that you have to click on Submit OTP.
    • An OTP will come on the mobile number registered on your Aadhar card, you need to verify it by entering the OTP.
    • Now you have to click on Download Aadhaar.
    • If you selected the second option Enrollment IDNumber you need to submit OTP by entering the Enrollment Number, Date, Time and Captcha .
    • The OTP will appear on the mobile number linked to your Aadhar Card.
    • You need to verify by entering OTP , after which you can download your Aadhar Card .
    • Now you have to click on the third option Virtual ID Number .
    • You need to enter the virtual ID number and captcha code and click on Send OTP .
    • After which OTP will appear on the Aadhaar linked mobile number , you need to verify by entering OTP .
    • After this you have to click on Download option .

2. Download Aadhaar via the mAadhaar App

The mAadhaar app provides a convenient way to download Aadhaar on your smartphone. Here’s how:

  • Download and install the mAadhaar app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

  • Open the app and register with your Aadhaar-linked mobile number

  • Access the dashboard and select “Download Aadhaar.”

  • Choose between Regular Aadhaar (full details) or Masked Aadhaar (hides the first 8 digits of the Aadhaar number).

  • Enter your Aadhaar Number, VID, or EID, and complete the captcha verification.

  • Click “Request OTP” and enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.

  • After verification, your e-Aadhaar will be downloaded as a PDF.

3. Download Aadhaar via DigiLocker

DigiLocker is an official government platform for secure document storage. To download Aadhaar through DigiLocker:

  • Visit the DigiLocker website and log in.

  • Search for “Aadhaar Card” in the document section and Select Aadhaar from the results and enter your Aadhaar number.

  • Complete OTP verification on your registered mobile number.

3. Download Aadhaar via the UMANG Portal

UMANG is another government portal offering Aadhaar services. Follow these steps:

  • Visit the UMANG portal and log in.

  • On your home page, in the menu, click on the Services option.

  • Navigate to the “My Aadhaar” section and choose “Download Aadhaar.”

  • Enter your Aadhaar number and the OTP received on your registered mobile number.

  • After OTP verification, download your Aadhaar in PDF format.

How to Open Your e-Aadhaar PDF

Your e-Aadhaar PDF is password-protected. Use this format for the password:
First four letters of your name in uppercase + Year of Birth (YYYY).

  • Year of Birth: 1990
  • Password: ROHI1990
